Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments to evaluate students' cognitive abilities, academic achievement, social-emotional functioning, and behavioral concerns.
- Interpret assessment results and collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement appropriate interventions and support plans.
- Provide individual and group counseling to students to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
- Facilitate crisis interventions and provide support to students and families during times of crisis or trauma.
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents to address academic and behavioral concerns in the school environment.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, to develop and review students' education plans.
- Collaborate with community resources and agencies to coordinate services and support for students and families.
- Stay current with research and best practices in the field of school psychology and participate in professional development activities.
Qualifications:
- Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure or certification as a school psychologist.
- Experience working in a school or educational setting preferred.
- Knowledge of assessment tools and techniques, intervention strategies, and special education laws and regulations.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in education.
